Marriage-Minded Mentoring for the Single Person

This mentoring is perfect for the single person who desires marriage but has yet to meet a suitable spouse, and who has tried to meet someone and doesn’t seem to be able to. One must be willing to look at hard issues and seek God in prayer for help to get married.

Mentoring involves a one-on-one relationship between a Mentor and Mentee. The Mentor shares what tools and principles were learned and used to leave prolonged singleness and marry a suitable spouse, and looks at how one is getting in one’s own way of attracting a suitable spouse. Prayer and a relationship with God is essential, as ultimately only God can get someone married. Topics covered include, but not limited to, the following:

The Call to Marriage
Jesus’ words on singleness / the current societal landscape
The journey to marriage: finding and sustaining hope
Biblical principles of dating; issues regarding meeting/dating someone
Issues that one may have preventing attaching to someone

Prolonged Singleness Encouragement Group

This group is perfect for the single who would like to augment private mentoring with learning in a group setting, or isn’t ready yet to make the initial leap into mentoring but wants to begin the process of understanding prolonged singleness and what’s involved in getting to the altar.

The group meets monthly via Zoom. Registration is open at the beginning of the calendar year through March 31st. May include guest speakers, handouts, and after-meeting notes for every participant, even if they can’t attend a session.

This is more than just mentoring, it's ministry

When I was single, there were no resources available that offered any hope or support that God could or would help one marry. Upon meeting several Catholic women, I was unofficially mentored in the Biblical and Catholic truths regarding the very high calling of marriage and what I needed to do get myself there. I realized there needed to be a resource like this for the singles of today that are struggling to enter their vocation of marriage as well.

How are payments made?

Payments are made electronically via my private payment platform, Cornerstone Payment Systems. Payment should be made within the time frame stated in the mentoring form agreement. Exisiting clients can use Cornerstone Payment Systems for payments.

Who is this service for?

Getting to marriage is not for the faint-of-heart. It involves a relationship between you and God. I, as the mentor, am here to walk alongside you and assist with issues that you may not see—just as my mentors assisted with issues I didn’t see. The private mentoring ministry is for anyone who is willing to look at issues and points.

What's the level of effort required?

Prolonged singleness is very painful. To get to marriage, one must be willing to look at what may be keeping them there: limiting beliefs, bitterness with the opposite sex, unforgiveness, anger with God, lack of knowledge of the truth, lack of self-knowledge, willfulness, unwillingness to change. Progress requires effort and a level of uncomfortableness.

How long is each mentoring session and how often?

50 minutes. In order to be consistent it’s recommended that mentoring be scheduled every other week, but at least once a month.

You Don't Have to Stay Single
